After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!
Menton, Provence, France darrenhough74Up early as it was a spectacular sunrise - full of pinks and organges. We wanted to hit McWifi before we entered Italy but we did not find one until later in the day in Menton. Before that we drove the coast road through Nice and Monte Carlo, both concrete ...
Monte-Carlo, Monaco darrenhough74... seen and spoken to, to date.
Set off mid morning to drive through Gorges du Verdon, again another stunning drive. This time though the weather was kind to us and we were able to get out for a hike after lunch. It seemed like a popular drive as we encountered several other tourists, one couple were eating lunch at the same spot we were. They packed up their picnic, took a swig out of ...
Grasse, Provence, France darrenhough74Cannes is not as glamrous as we thought it would be, it still has all the fancy smancy stores along the beach, but there were definitely no red carpets rolled out when we were there. We did a day trip to St-Tropez, its was the end of a hge sailing competitiona and tons of ...
Cannes, Provence, France sofenjon... menu. Lambrusca. If you haven't had it before, its a wonderful young sparkling red wine. (please disreguard the last comment, the wine was horrible)

http://picasaweb.googl e.com/Jonny.D.Lawrence/20090927NiceAnti besCannesStTropez?authkey=Gv1sRgCPzYpeu 2gIC7Jw&feat=directlink
Nice, Provence, France sofenjon... br>
Today's Royal itinerary takes us on a tour of Monaco, including old Monaco and the Royal Palace. It's uncertain whether the schedules of Prince Albert or Princess Caroline will allow for a meeting with Princess Lesia but our respective public relations staff are working on it!

The tour of Monaco-Ville, also known as Old Monaco included a walk through the narrow streets that once ...

Monte-Carlo, Monaco brianandjulie... this time that a very influential character named Juan Pablo Pablo (incidentally, all Spanish men are named Juan, whether they admit it or not) hit upon an idea that sparked a wave of nihilism throughout Spain. If meetings were rendered unpredictable affairs because of the unpredictability of restaurants, then surely it could work the other way round. He began to wonder what would happen if, instead of grabbing a bite to eat before they met ...
Monaco, Monaco swuggy... city for walking and taking happy-snaps. We sampled several coffee houses and toured many of the city's attractions, strolling from one end of the city to the other. After a day or two, everything started getting a bit much (most buildings look like they were designed by a pastry chef rather than an architect), so we needed a change of scenery. We decided to travel to Slovenia. After much screwing around at the train station with various timetables and Austrian ticketing officials ...
Nice, France elsewhere... to find an internet Cafe because we hadn't checked mail since Paris. The only one we could find I swear must have been made for midgets because the door handle to get in was only 30cm off the floor. The stairs to get upstairs were so small you had to crouch and turn sideways to get up and the roof was onyl about 1.5 metres high. Very strange but also full of people. It must be the only place around. It was actually even ...
