    GBRA Lakewood Campground

    Stayed 3 nights - leaving 1-26-15 for San Antonio. Nice quiet campground. In the high 60's. Guadalupe river runs along campground. $26 per nite. Previously stayed at Navarro mills CG (oak park site 9). Rainy and cold. Saw white Pelicans on lake. Very nice CG there but hookups were were too far from camper. Couldn't use sewer connection as hose wasn't long enough. Bought longer hoses at Walmart in case that happened ...

    ... ice. It sold so much stuff that we had never seen the likes of..... Anne grabbed the smallest coffee available – 16oz (2 cups). The largest coffee was 48oz – almost 1 litres!

    Anyway, back to the interstate! What started as a sleepy two-lane rural road, a gentle intro to right-hand driving, turned into a 12 lane nightmare near Houston. If San Antonio freeways were a tortured pretzel, this was a 'roid-raging pretzel, a manic maze ...

    ... The sausage was ok, but nothing to write home about. They offer a BBQ sauce at the table, but the meat did not need it. The story goes that until a few years ago, they refused to offer a sauce as they felt that it masked the true flavor of their meats, but they had so many customers asking if they had a sauce, that they decided to create one for those that must have a sauce on their meat.
