On July 3 we drove to Gorganza castle in the middle of nowhere in Tuscany, Italy. It is a castle converted into a hotel. There we checked in, unpack and changed to go to the pool. At the pool we saw Alex Donovan, from my baseball team!!! He was traveling with the Stanford alumni family vacation group. We didn't even think that we would see anybody we knew. ... at seeing the olives turn into exquisite tasting oil. There is lots of chit chat -- in Italian, of course -- then fresh baked crackers and red wine are served by the owners!
