... us a little off our food even though it was all delicious!!uncle Maurice made friends with our guide who's daughter was a doctor in the navy near where we were staying, taking his number and saying he would call up for a visit. The english, Italian man whizzed rakesh with questions about everything!!! And the we think Danish complained that the whole thing was too expensive. Clíona bought magical cinnamon oil for uncle Maurice and that was our spice ...

... end, I tell them that I'll pay for breakfast and wont bother checking in, there's plenty of other places round here. Of course it's a complimentary breakfast sir. Feeling jittery and knacked, I'm just thinking this place is going to be a pain and we'll have to be on our guard. It doesnt turn out to be like that here, but it wasnt the best of starts.

Eventually we check in and the room is big, AC, fans, TV, big beds and very clean. Grant is tired ...

... to a very hip and cool bar/club and watched a guy called Ricoloop perform a very good one man DJ show before a spot of dubstep drowned out the conversation. We were home by midnight after having a chilled evening. Thursday morning was a morning flight to Goa, the jewel to our trip in terms of relaxation and peace & quiet. ... did. The difference was that Sasha made traveling his full time venture for the past 16 months while his friend, Vernon, went back to his hometown in Goa to manage his family resort.


Vernon picked us up from the train station and kindly brought us to his resort. It was perfect for us, right on the beach and away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.

... that came to interrupt my reading was I'm sure a lovely man, called Frances. He was a Catholic man who just loved to share his stories from the bible. And delighted in telling me that God loved me, despite my polite reassurances that I was an atheist. What felt like a lifetime later and I was granted a reprieve, as we had to change trains.
