... realised we weren't on the right path at all, we
weren’t even in the right valley. Not to worry, we re-planned the route and
carried on. The walk took us towards the town of Terlago and the Lago di
Terlago before heading round Monte Mezzana and climbing back up to the village
of Covelo and on the village of Monte Terlago where our campsite is. The walk
was lovely, past vineyards and apple orchards.

... a couple we had seen on another walk two days before.

We stopped for lunch and took in the views, the farm house with its shuttered windows and pots filled with geraniums, the flower strewn meadow and the sheer grey rock of the mountains providing the back drop.

The path down took us through Ledro Land Art, a woodland trail dotted with sculptures. Before we knew it, we were back at the lake and just a short walk back to the campsite.

Onya Mumsie! I chose an F458 Italia and then the girl said there was quite a wait for the drive - over half an hour! We only had an hour in total at the place!!!!! But after some good old Aussie charm and a lot ...

Today's tour was to Bolzano, close to the Austrian border. We arrived there late in the morning, stopping for a quick espresso at a truck stop - it's hard to get used to doing things the Italian Way when you have to pay for what you want first, then go and join the queue to get served! So simply getting a coffee takes quite a while, especially when the Italians are prone to barging in front of anyone!

... stare at us when we walk in. Clumsily we go to our table and try and be invisible. There is a table opposite to us that smile and to our surprise speak English, well Irish that we can just understand, so now we have best friends. Max and Stephan (early 60's) explain to us the history of the hotel and region. Max is here to write a book and hopes tomorrow to to read some notes from the vault, not sure what about we couldn't ...
