      ... which were ridiculously cheap but the highlight was a cafe where we went for tea and cake. I have no idea what the building was but it was ridiculously fancy inside. Even better, when we went to find the loo we wound up in an incredibly fancy dining hall like nowhere I've seen before... a little glimpse into how the mega rich live.

      Overall we had a great time and all too soon we we had to board the train for the next leg of our adventure.

      ... itself is huge, all cobblestone, and marked with painted lines that are there to direct the marchers and vehicles during parades. The red walls of the Kremlin surround one side, the State Historical Museum at one end, the GUM (pronounced Goom) Department store opposite the Kremlin and then at the other end the brilliant St Basil's Cathedral.

      ... breaks brings me down to Novograd or Gorky in old money another typical Russian city very little signage, huge pot holes and at least five cars fighting for every bit of space on the road. When that runs out then take to the pavements or down the middle of the road scattering cars out of the way like grains of sand.       ... my workouts into garmin connect, and clear the watch. It was hardly critical, but good for my head to clear something out. I picked up drinks at the local unfriendly shop but didn't eat and so was starving and fading by the time I got to the IAAF lounge. Score there, though, as they had pasta.       ... on a wander round a few underground stations then onto the Kremlin & Red Square. The Moscow Metro stations are works of art in themselves, it would cheer you up every morning if you had to use it to get to work...
      I'll let the photos speak for themselves..I didn't take many as Oleg had his camera and he likes to take photos...hundreds of them. I'll post his as well when I get them ...
