... different from ours. I wonder what they would make of our world.
In the remainder of the day we had a stroll around Pyrgos, the girls had a splash in the black sands of Kamari Beach and we headed back to Ammoudiou Bay, stopping for some late lunch at the restaurant Nikoy, perched literally on the side of a cliff. Stunning views and nice food.
We reach Oia again as the sun was setting and had a lovely half hour or so strolling around Ammoudia Bay and the trail ...
... because we walked slowly, took breaks and lots of photos. At times the route is on a cobbled path and at times it’s just a goat track. It climbs up and down and skirts the cliff edge at all times. It really is something to experience. Along the route are dotted a series of picture-perfect chapels. I was disappointed to find them locked though.
Although the walk is only 12 km, its climbs and descents make it very challenging, at least for us and we were completely buggered ...
... decided that we were staying with her and she wasn't letting anyone else steal us away. It turned out to a good choice, as the room we stayed in was perfect with our own terrace that had a great view. While Santorini is definitely the island for sightseeing, Ios is the place to relax and have a good time. It has great beaches lined with cafes and in season, there are heaps of bars that are absolutely packed with people. The following day was spent around ...
Ios, Cyclades, Greece justinroweTuesday wasn't much we packed up caught the bus and headed back to Athens, booked our ferry ticket and headed to the Island of Ios. We booked an overnight 10hour ferry with deck seats. This time we actually did sleep outside on the deck, on bench seats, but in a covered section. There were tons of kids and we thought they would party all night but everyone seem to go to sleep short after leave port. Once in Ios, we had ...
Ios, Cyclades, Greece reanna... t won yet, but I'll keep you updated. Really, you'd think they want to see their vacation through something other than a lens. 13. God created street signs for a reason. Why Europeans fail to see this, I just don't know. Thus I've been lost nearly everywhere, most notably at 4 in the morning trying to find my way home through the deserted streets of London. 14. After we're all dead and gone from a nuclear ...

And this is Atlantis Hotel. Which reminds me Santorini is actually one of the possible location of the legendary Atlantis .
After a tiring walk around Thira, we retired to our room's balcony, and write some post ...
... performing restoration, or excavation. Okkkaaay.... not something that we would classify as interesting. And then Ai Ling asked the lady, "More rocks?" The Lady immediately nod her and in agreement, and we all laugh... hahaha...
It was actually quite windy up there. Even the tree bow down to the wind.

After that we just drive around the island! Stop by around when we see any nice view for a quick pose.
We also stopped by the red sand beach. Nothing special except the red sand...
On our way, we saw a herd of ...
... dehydration if i attempted that now. but the really exciting news is: i'm coming HOME! i take an overnight ferry tonight to athens, then bus it from the port to the athens airport, fly from athens to munich, hang out in the airport for about 7 hours, then fly to geneva, fly to mew york (and see kamando), and then fly HOME! it's going to be 48 hours of travel time that i am not looking forward to ...
Ios, Greece kimberk03... in around 5." I will say this though about Ios, it's place I was most happy I stopped in. This place has forever changed me, and for the better. There's the old cliche that people say they travel "to find themselves." A lot of people make fun of this because it's cheesy (but aren't all cliches?), but it's true. For five months while I roamed around New Zealand, Australia and Asia I could feel changes in myself. Ios, though, was the place where all those changes were allowed to fully ...
