James is the composer of this fine blog: Melbourne is the capital of Victoria and a bustling city. We stayed on the outskirts of the city in a trendy suburb called St. Kilda, known for its restaurants, bars, cafes, and music. We decided to ease back into the city life by enjoying a relaxing day that began at St. Kilda Bowling Club for some lawn bowling. We were not dressed in the traditional all white attire, but this club was open to the public and perfect for beginners. Basics of the Game a...
Melbourne, Australia andersontravelAfter the long train ride across the vast emptiness that is middle Australia, and then the solitary week-long drive along the Limestone Coast and then the Great Ocean Road all the way from Adelaide to Melbourne, I stop for a few days to rest. I really enjoyed Melbourne, marketed as the most "European" of cities in Oz. Many of my friends have heard me complain about Aussie food, but that is not the case in Melbourne. For a traveler, food has to be good - for me that also means healthy - readil...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia charmedlife Dienstag, 14.4.2009:

Hey everyone Hope you are all well? It's been a while since my last update so thought I better let you know what I've been up to lately...I've still not found an internet cafe where I can upload photos as yet, so I will try to do that soon for my last few entries. Before I start though, another announcement...CONGRATULATIONS to Tracey & Dave, whose son Luke Thomas arrived 2 weeks early on 14th October weighing 8lbs 1oz. Hope all is going well for you guys, can't wait to see the first photos o...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia ronia... After much deliberation we decided to do the Nevis Highwire bungy - 134 metres over the Nevis gorge. We were picked up from central Queenstown and spent a nervous 45 minutes on a bus on the way to the bungy site. We eventually arrived and had our first view of the place (eeek!!). We were harnessed up and took a gondola out to the bungy pod - started getting pretty nervous by now! It was done in weight order but soon enough it was my turn to jump....I got strapped in before making ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia david-daisy... tomorrow... Now let's go back in time to some days ago when I still was in New Zealand and tried to get on my flight to Australia. There was a little surprise when I stood in front of the check in desk of Air NewZealand and they told me that I wasn't booked on that flight. I was shocked. And it was no joke. I had booked this flight with my german travel agency and had it listed on my itinerary that I had printed out by myself, but obviously ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia danubear... past the building that portrayed Erinsborough High but couldn't get a good shot, to be honest, you probably wouldn't recognise it as the school! Next came the finale.....Ramsay Street!!! As alot of you will know, this is an actual residential street called Pin Oak Court. They now have a security guard stationed there 24/7 (provided by the studios) as it's so widely recognised as the famous street. So now not just anyone can ...
