If you are booking a room in Savannah, be sure to book with Olde Harbour Inn. The staff we incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was a complete surprise! We thought we were getting a standard small room with a queen bed and bathroom. Instead we walked into a hallway which took us to a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and furnished living room over looking the river. The building is beautiful and conveniently located on River St!
We will be staying here again!

We walked into the adjacent neighborhoods as well to see the stately homes, brick streets and beautiful green squares. This part of Savannah is laid out in a grid and every couple of blocks, beautiful historic homes surround a landscaped square. It is certainly a wonderful combination of houses, green spaces and lovely streets for ...

... from crutches. While exploring the Historic District by foot, pay close attention to the plaques on buildings and historic markers. You may find yourself standing on a former burial plot, with the unfortunate souls still underground! If you explore the Colonial Park Cemetery look closely at the headstones; you may find an eleven year old who was survived by his seventeen year old wife and 12 year old son! Union soldiers encamped on the cemetery ...

... ages, it's only 40 miles to Savannah. Argh, I'm in pain and short of stopping on the side of the road I don't think I'll make it. So classy my does just that and jokes about policemen stopping me because you shouldn't do that. Little did I know that the fateful words were out of my mouth. 4 mins later I was pulled over for speeding. Fortunately it wasn't enough to go to jail - the officer (who was really hot, I mean really hot ;-) ) was kind enough to let me off with ...
