If you are booking a room in Savannah, be sure to book with Olde Harbour Inn. The staff we incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was a complete surprise! We thought we were getting a standard small room with a queen bed and bathroom. Instead we walked into a hallway which took us to a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and furnished living room over looking the river. The building is beautiful and conveniently located on River St!
We will be staying here again!

We caught the I-95 and began our trek. The weather was warm and a bit humid but it was quite cloudy. The forecast did not call for any rain. As we traveled north we began to see billboards (what else is new) advertising Florida fruit. One sign had 'Ice Cold Peach Cider’ advertised and for some reason it really sounded good. Cheryl called ahead to see if they had RV parking and the lady said that there was, but there were a lot of cars in ...

Im looking for a grocery store and ask for directions to where Ive been told to go - the local (a woman about my age) says 'you don't want to go walkin there - are you with me?' yes says I ok Ill go to the upscale boutique grocery store that 'all the locals go there' to search for pecans -- sorry gang so far none to be found but I do succumb to 'pimento cheese" - it's popular here!

... br> Our hotel is located at Ellis Square which is right in the heart of the city and just across the road from the river. Brilliant!! We can walk everywhere around town and if not, we have got a free ticket from the trolley tour to use for the rest of today and all tomorrow.

The trolley tour was seriously hot so we went back to the hotel to shower and change before going out for dinner.

... them. This avenue is 1 mile in length. Stunning Stunning Stunning!!! Noble Jones lived there with his family along with maybe another dozen families made up of soldiers and servants. We had a guided tour there. There are only ruins of the house left and even the bodies of the dead including Noble Jones were moved to another cemetery as the water level on the property can rise with high tides. It was a great tour. Also this property was used as ...

... while Donna polished off her C******nay - yes that's what I said (to Donna's 'wine buddies') C******NAY!!! Actually, she didn't come close to finishing the walloping glass the bartender gave her before we walked back to the room to get ready for the evening. Stopped and picked up a couple things, books at one shop, and more importantly candy from the 'River Street Sweet Shop' where they were making everything from salt water taffy ...
