If you are booking a room in Savannah, be sure to book with Olde Harbour Inn. The staff we incredibly friendly and helpful! The room was a complete surprise! We thought we were getting a standard small room with a queen bed and bathroom. Instead we walked into a hallway which took us to a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and furnished living room over looking the river. The building is beautiful and conveniently located on River St!
We will be staying here again!

... after the lunch crowd and spent almost 2 hours there visiting with the Jamaican born owner, Donavon. What an unexpected surprise. We plan to return this afternoon after we get the motorhome returned.

After dropping off the motorhome, we headed downtown to the visitor center to find out about the local sightseeing opportunities. We got a knowledgeable person to assist us and found a good long term parking spot near the Georgia State Railroad museum. ...

... It should take about 4 weeks. If we are lucky, we will see other friends we have made along the way on our Great Adventure or even make new ones. Surely we will be more knowledgeable about cruising and have a lot more fun because of it. We will be very excited about having the river system at full pool and thrilled about the possibility of taking a dip in the water every now and then. (One did not want to take a dip in the ICW with its dirty, dark waters and dangerous critters lurking ...

      ... chaos with unprecedented snowfalls.

Chok took me out to explore the town and go a traditional Southern breakfast of biscuits and gravy....these were not like any biscuits I'd ever seen and the gravy was white! Delicious nonetheless especially accompanied with a cherry coke topped with actual glacÚ cherries! I spent the rest of the day walking the city and exploring the river side and booked myself on a ghost tour for the evening. ...

Ken was big on Obama's SOTU tonight clapping and cheering all the way through. I was working with the computer guy trying to make my remote computer access work.

Now , it seems to me that sounds terribly exciting.

Think we may be going on a tour of a local winery tomorrow. Nothing like South Carolina wine I say.....
