    ... all of us truly appreciate our life here in San Diego, our family and our friends and even our homeland. When people ask about our trip, they inevitably ask where we are thinking next. We certainly have caught the travel bug, and we have it bad. For our next trip we will be doing Germany, or at least Continental Europe, hopefully.     Day 8. The first thing I noticed this morning was the intense Phoenix heat that hit me head on as soon as I stepped in the sun. It felt like I was placed in an oven and Chef Summer kept turning up the temperature until I was well past done.
