... we had not seen in a zoo before included the Andean Condor, Caracas, Jaguar, Tapir and Porcupine. There was also a 5day old Giraffe!

After walking around for most the morning we jumped on the tour bus which once again took us back around the park telling us bits and pieces about the animals.

FUN FACT - The San Diego Zoo has more than 4,000 animals from 800 species!

... before heading back to what we thought was a whole evening of packing. ... Towards L.A. First stop was to drop back our very loyal and faithful car rental. Then we have to get all this luggage onto a skhuttle bus and off to the "HairyPort" AKA the air port for our 6 hour wait for our flight to Sydney. ... when there were shows on and tried to plan accordingly. they also have some areas set up where they bring out an animal and do a talk about it. You can get up close and learn some neat stuff. We watched a talk on the Civet Cat, a Military Macaw and another animal that I can't think of the name for the life of me! ... in the heat this time looking at performing dolphins, killer whales, seals and a whole lot more. Stan and Squancy both went on the log flume but me and Rab, thinking we were clever decided we. We're going to stay dry. Later on, me, Rab and Stan went on the rapids, our thinking was that we wouldn't get that wet! We were wrong! Rab took the brunt of it, he was soaked.
