... finally arrive at LeaAnn's beautiful home in Gulfport. She greats us with her adorable little pooch "Odie". We regroup for a few minutes and then go out for a nice salad for dinner at Lookout 49 in downtown Gulfport. ... full time RVers like us, and one couple from Ontario repeatedly advised Greg not to work again, that Greg would have more fun retired than he will working. Words to live by.

We'll be heading to Clearwater, near Tampa, tomorrow. The forecast is for unusually cold and wet weather the next few days. It feels like we are travelling with a black cloud over us since we left Texas.

... They had watched six manatees swim by the platform earlier. After about half an hour, I did see one at a distance. Since they are mammals, the must rise for air about every twenty minutes. They are strictly vegetarians and eat up to a hundred pounds of sea grass daily.
