Tobago Forest Reserve, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago paulatluxury... very deep. 'Deep enough to jump from the top' I thought. I didn't want to scare my mum, although of course I did, but it just looked so appealing. In the end I couldn't find a place with a small enough curve that I felt I could safely enough jump from the top so I climbed down a little. My mum was happy about that. She also fell in love with a higher level waterfall which you could shower in. She felt like she was in a film (although I reckon she really meant 'I'm a celebrity...').
Crown Point, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago phil.aldridge... however, had different ideas and ended up further away than the starting line. In the evening the party began. In Tobago this means big speakers out in the street and plenty rum. We were with a group of mostly Norwegian girls and it was incredible to see the attention they got from the locals. The guys would just come up behind them and start 'wining' (a dance of grinding ...

Castara, Trinidad and Tobago horizon_chaser... else. In many places there are people selling "doubles" out of the backs of trucks...for example at the airport in Trinidad. A double is two pieces of fried dough filled with a concoction of curry and spices and pigeon peas, covered in green and hot sauces...and doubles are fantastic. A double double (two doubles) costs a little more than $1.00 and is a very filling breakfast!

Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago farawayfromhome... and would be even moreso if there was sun! However, this notion that Englishmens' is one of the best in the whole Caribbean is a bit much...it's not even close to Vieques and many other Virgin Islands for example... We are trying to remain up beat but we're soggy and mosquito bitten!

Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago farawayfromhome... which takes years to prepare. With themes, costumes, and culture, there isn't a festival like it in the world. T&T has had a change in history and culture beginning with the indigenous people having interactions with the slave trade. When the slave trade was deemed illeagal, the indentured servants from India were trafficked through T&T. the T&T culture has gone on a roller coaster ride ...
Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago kliddle... in twenty feet of water; purple-and-turquoise parrotfish and silver-and-scarlet parrotfish chased one another beside round brain corals; a small, murky sea-turtle sped off quickly. I snorkeled beneath the jetty in the sailing harbor too, where a school of squid-like cuttlefish hung out horizontally with dark maroon heads. However, worried that I might not have money for a roti and want to eat them, they turned white and fled from me vertically. And ALL THAT is only the ...
