Christmas Panto'

... we have had since we arrived. Lots of laughs and reduced to tears in the end. I think the 2 kids may have also enjoyed it.
The Villain from Coronation Street and the star, Aladdin, from Hollyoaks. A pleasure for the ladies in the audience.

Great night.

End of term. 4 months in the UK

... have to wait 5-10 mins for another. It’s still a novelty to catch a double decker! At the moment my job at Chetham’s is only until Easter but I would love it if something else came up for me there but if not I’ll be looking for something else. So who knows what I’ll be doing after April.

Accommodation

Our new abode, the flat, is small. No surprises there. It has taken some time to get used to it. Hard to ...

Parky isn't it!

... One thing is certain, the visitors to this city will have lots of fun but stay away from the Old Delhi 'Bring & Buy' market. The only thing I will say about this event is we wern't harmed and we got out with all our belongings.... We would definately return to Delhi and would like to see more that this city has to offer - even the Old part of town - a little more planning and research is required - thats all..

With an overnight stay at Benaulim Beach in South Goa we then set ...

Day 2 - The Reamer

How could anything be worse than the Ball Breaker? How? And yet it was. Damn the kilometres of bog, damn the no bacon butty truck on the highway, damn the twisty part where you go around curve after curve after curve and don’t see anything ahead of you but CURVE. Then damn the “ ...

See that Campsite?

After almost finishing the part of the Pennine that I call “The Ball Breaker” Ryan points down the mountain to a little campsite in the distance. It was far away but hope sprang back into my heart until he said, “See that campsite? Our campsite is only 2km from there.” YEARGH!!!

Day 1 of the trip

Well the day has finally arrived! The alarm was set for 6.00am but we were both awake before it went off. After a quick breakfast we were on the bike heading for a rendevous at Colin's house in Halling in the rain!

After a quick cup of tea, Leigh up turned on his Triumph Tiger and it was time to set off for the Marsden to meet Lyndsey & David & guess what it ...

Bye Bye Brum / Madness in Manchester

... small xmas decorations but felt it was in a way my farewell to Brum even if the irony of that is that it was at a German xmas market.

Friday was on my own in the morning at work which was peaceful after the manic nature of Thurs morning (4 physios and 2 assistants plus admin around). Cruised through the morning and headed off for McDonalds for lunch with some colleagues. My afternoon consisted of last minute discharges, paperwork ...

Day 26

We were woken up at 7am this morning by dad's phone alarm. We got dressed, had breakfast and clean our teeth before we began the final packing. All our pajamas and toiletries were packed away and all the bits and bobs found around the house were shoved into the first suitcase they came across. Eventually all the suitcases were packed and full to the brim. Dad began packing the cases in the car and even though the boot space was bigger than that of our ...

... driver that I needed to have a ticket in order to board the bus. And oh yeah, there's no ticket office. Awesome. I sprinted to an internet cafe to order a ticket. I popped in my credit card number, and still, nothing. Awesomer yet. I had no choice. I turned to the guy next to me, a Czech exchange student whose English was still a work in progress, and slowly but surely got across the message of, hey, I need to get on this bus but they're not accepting my credit card, so ...

Lovely Yorkshire stay

... welcomed as possible. On the way home (already it was feeling like home), I walked back via an old footpath, across a stile or two, plank bridge and a somewhat dried up waterway, cows in a field I had to dodge. Soon after I got in I went to bed, rather tired out from my travels. I slept very well accompanied by the soft moo-ing of cows and surrounded by the unmistakable odor of farmyard. Initially it was a bit much but soon became just part of my life for the time I was there.
