... mountains! NOOO! I've never seen a moose, and I had said that I had wanted to see them! Curse my postcard collection, as it drew me away from the moose!

We left there and then made a quick stop at Jenny Lake, which had a pretty view of the mountains. We took a few pictures and then got back on the road. While still driving through the park, we saw another large woodland creature. Memere called it out as a moose, we all turned to see it, then there ...

It served as a correctional facility for 30 years, housing murderers, rapists, thieves - even a man sentenced to a month behind bars for "stretching the truth". A total of 1,063 men and women (yes, 13 women) spent time in the prison before it was closed in 1902, and ...

    Long Day of Driving

A travel blog entry by edcraig on Jun 21, 2012

Today was my longest single day of driving yet. I drove all the way from Jackson to Laramie, with a detour on the Snowy Range scenic highway. Altogether, drive time was over 7 hours, but I swear, it flew by like it was nothing. I wasn't even tired at the end of it.

Really the only sightseeing thing I did today was a quick stop to get a shot of the Tetons before I left Jackson, and then a few shots ...
