Small village on the main road but Tucan Hotel set back. Not cheap and only 2 showers/toilets shared between up to 4 people in treehouse, 4 in hammocks, multiple others camping plus 12 people in dorms when fully occupied. Female shower/toilet always full of men as bigger - thankfully came when quiet.

Cocked up the directions to the falls, Cascadas Verde & didn't turn left before hardware store. Ended up crossing the river ...

After dropping Bev off at the airport we headed straight out of town. Of course this took us a good hour due to traffic and the inability to get proper directions! The map I we had purchased at a hotel the day when we came into the country was supposedly up-to-date, but so far I had counted around 10 mistakes. The San Jose portion was no different. By the time we got out of the city it was around 3 PM so we only had a few hours of daylight left and we still had to go ...

... It was such a great concert and to be there with great, life-loving people made it even better! After the concert we all went back to Las Olas and I talked Spanish with Edmin and Devon. It was such a wonderful night, great talks, all in Spanish, with such special people!

Sunday, we woke up and I went into town to catch a bus back into Puntarenas so I could rest up from the weekend and re-group. Before the bus came I had met 2 people from Panama City, both 22 ...

Had to change plans as there was no space at Sirena Ranger Station. Margarita was able to organise alternative route into Corcovado
Got Marvi bus to Sierpe. Stayed in good cabinas and had excellent meal in their restaurant

... good They have no guest staying here currently so they have all been taking a break from doing as much yoga and mediation which is alight but kinda **** because I was hoping for a straight week of chris time yoga and meditation but its pretty fun either way. All but one person is great. One guys is just a bit strange and quiet. The actuall physical place and teh structure is just so freakin awesome. I have new design ideas for this ...

... faster going back, but its way harder... my knees really felt the difference.... after 3.5 hours, we are back where we started 2 days ago.. only that only 2 of us got there in that time... the others took a lot more.... the last teammate last 3 more hours getting down.

... schnell eine Unterkunft zu finden. Unsere angepeilten "Cabinas Quetzales" konnten wir zunaechst nicht finden. Stattdessen landeten wir im Nobelhotel Savegre, wo man uns mit drei Mahlzeiten und einem Bungalow koederte. ... al pueblo, dónde queríamos ir al mercado, ya que se nos están acabando los alimentos. De paso encontramos una lavandería y lavamos toda la ropa (que no era poca). Mientras las máquinas lavaban, nosotros fuimos a cenar al restaurante El Jardín (12 dól.) y regresamos a hotel. Y sigue lloviendo!!!! Lunes, después de hacer un poco de fiaca en la cama, porque continuaba lloviendo, decidimos seguir viaje. Salimos del hotel con rumbo a San Ramón para retomar la Panamericana. En principio ...
