... neat.. we stayed at about 60 feet for almost an hour and swam through several caverns. The Visibility was pretty nice, maybe 60-70 feet and we saw several anemones and a real neat lionfish. I partnered up with an old Navy guy (late 60s) your never too old... who had also gone on the boat without a partner. Hes done 160 dives since hes been here and knew a lot about the sites so it made both dives more interesting. The second dive was similiar ...
Oceanview, Guam guamblog... the pearl effort I realized time was ticking and the sun would be going down within the next few hours so I had to start heading back to avoid getting a dark trail. A good part of the hike involved playing the "find the tape game" but it was a lot better marked than most hikes ive done so far. So I made it back in time for sunset and headed back to base with enough time to grab some good Air Force Chow and hit the sack before another fun filled week of flying.

Oceanview, Guam guamblog... up and I climbed down maybe a 15 foot waterfall CAREFULLY to reach the top of Lower Sigua. Theres no backing down now! No way I was going back up that muddy hill and sawgrass and then down the rope cliff all over again. Only one way down. Time to man up! So looking down.. which is a little necessary to see where your jumping and what to clear did NOT help my confidence one bit! But I took the plunge and it was very worth it ...
Yigo, Guam guamblog... Apparently if you spear one, its almost impossible to get it out of the water b/c they will smell the blood and eat their own before you even get it up to the surface. There is a local submarine, the Atlantis, that tours mostly Japanese tourists around the reef. They set out bags of fish food to attract the fish and better the show, which just makes the dive more and more interesting. Lots of purple sea fans scattered the ocean floor as well. The sub pilots have been known to get ...
Oceanview, Guam guamblog... halpaa kaikki on! Eli suhteellista on kaikki.
Tumon, Guam travellerhansI arrived in Guam from Manila in the early morning of Feb. 5, leaving on late night of Feb. 4 when the Philippine Congress kicked-out JDV as their Speaker. I took a taxi (fare was almost $10 for less than 2 mile) from the airport to Guam International Hotel in Tamuning. Took a 2 hour power nap and then was picked up to start the ...
Guam, United States bejtenorio... don't understand why Northwest won't do international upgrades. I understand that many of their routes are full, but there have also been times when the back was full and there were empty seats up front. Continental is generous with their upgrades, even for Northwest Elite members. At the gate, I watched the last inning of the World Series with the security guards. One ...
Tumon, Guam srvance... breakfast by their families. The people native to Guam are the Chamorro. It is important to note that they are not "Guamanians" or "Guamian". The Denny's had a special menu of Chamorro favorites. The breakfast entrees included rice, portuguese sausage, grilled beef and whole tilapia-and yes, for breakfast. Also, because of the large number of Japanese tourists, rice-both ...
Agana, Guam joelleHad one of my most influential experiences waiting for my very late night flight out of Australia. As I sat waiting at 1 a.m., a guy sat down next to me. He apparently just wanted to talk. He told me his life story about how he was a prince from some small south-pacific island and had multiple marriages around the world, failed at many things in life, and finally his family convinced ...
