... It was another peep into history and we both really enjoyed it. Now we're in Berlin, just for one night as it's simply a staging post for Moscow. We've been here a few times before, so spent the day on a Hop-on-hop-off bus, just the thing for 2 rather leg sore travellers. Tomorrow Moscow and then the real adventure begins. ... a crazy 40 years n interesting to think that a good bit of it happened during our lifetime. Was a good stop.
-back to the hotel for some overdue showers. Then out to dinner to try a second Indian place. Service n food were slooooow n food was only ok. So a bit of a bummer but given all the things we have been able to do in Leipsig in an afternoon, it has been a success.

Long Awaited Catch Ups

I arrived in Leipzig late in the afternoon to meet a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in something like eight years. As you can imagine we had quite a bit of catching up to do. This we did, over dinner, shisha and several beverages. As an aside, I tried a sushi train for the first time. Funny how I had to travel all the way to Germany to do that.

Three Months In

... to me, and I want to make the most of it. Having that on the horizon has kept me going. I honestly don't know what my mindset would be if I was facing another month and a half solo. It's possible I'd be on an early flight home.

The last third of my travels includes a couple of shifts in location and direction which will, hopefully, keep things interesting. Fingers crossed there are a couple good nights of sleep in my immediate future also.

From 1723 to 1750, Johann Sebastian Bach served as choir director. Bach was schooled in the same school in Eisenach as Luther, 2 centuries after him.
