Paignton to catch the train. The day was once again a bit murky so
the fantastic scenery was intermittent.

Stopped off at a small cafe for a light lunch and found our waitress was from Bideford and her niece was married to a New (Lona's Bideford family) in Northam.
After we left Ilfracoombe in bright warm sunshine we headed through Coombe Martin and wound our way back to Barnstable and home.

What an emotional few days its been! Not crying when I expected to and crying at unexpected moments. Early start to catch the tide on the tidal estuary. We got to Edward's at 9.30 for the boat ride. The boat trip took us to Salcombe, past the ruins of Salcombe Castle and back to Frogmore in about 2 hours. The kids took turns steering the boat.
