I arrived in Umeå, Sweden to attend my Alma Mater Umeå Institute of Design degree show and the Design Talks. It was really great being back to see everyone there and how much the school is growing. Wow! there's a new architecture building and program, a new museum, restaurant and it should all be completed by this Dec. The city was selected as a " 2014 European City of Culture"
The degree show was great! There where a lot of really interesting and innovative projects.

Ansonsten: wir sind so gut in der Zeit, dass wir uns jetzt Nebenwege erlauben können, die Ostsee 'Uferstraße' ist wie gesagt etwas langweilig.

Has it already been 7 days in Umea? I cannot believe it. I must confess, I have spent a majority of this past week catching up on lost sleep and getting unpacked. Horribly unexciting tasks - definitely not considered "blog-worthy." But here's a taste of what IS:
