... famous archaeological site built by the Maya civilisation for photograph taking feast.

In tour van, disaster, nobody had even heard of Billy Ocean, disaster, nobody spoke English, luckily tour guide was bilingual. His time was split between English, Spanish, our van and another van - that was why it was 20 dollars cheaper than the other tour, figures. Anyways, we reach Chitchin Itza, out of this world, amazing place. Let ...
Cozumel, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico john.boyd.123... a deco stop and I believe only bothered with a safety stop as Myk and I both did one. Next dive was shallow (around 12-15 metres) and while our DM didn’t bother with a safety stop, we kept under the surface for well over the three minutes since they decided not t bother with their SMB despite surfacing in a horrendously busy boat channel?? I would hate to think of nervous or inexperienced divers using this company as safety is about ...
Cozumel, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico twinkfran... shop owners selling their local wares. Walking the main pedestrianised road is like running a gauntlet. Everyone is 'your Amigo’ and I’m soon irritated. The beach is packed, every inch of sand is taken up with holiday makers.

There’s nothing else for it, we decide to go diving. Hopefully the sea will bring some peace. We decide to dive with a French Dive company, Mexico Blue Dreams, as ...
Playa del Carmen, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico twinkfran... they made!! Enrique offered us a signature margarita - we said yes. It was a Tamarind juice margarita with the rim coated in - I think - sugar and taco spice. I know, it sounds crazy and a bit weird, but it was so good. We sipped our drinks and snacked on a variety of appetizers that the chef sent to the table. Among the traditional Mexican goodies, was what looked like a dumpling --- but was actually a handful of crickets baked in pastry ...
Riviera Maya, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico lulugreenAnd so we are ...........we made it to Puerto Morelos, Mexico in record time - about 2000 km in 32hours!! We left Morelia early Saturday morning and rode the bus and rode the bus and rode the bus some more. The kids were fantastic!! It's funny how we often underestimate people, especially children. Janice and I thought for sure at least one or perhaps all of them would have a major meltdown from ...

Xpuha, Mexico ironworker025... we´ve never done before at night without a guide! He yelled something at Juan then went back up. We set off again, but still not in the direction of the marina. I thought ****, we´re being kidnapped now as he won´t get paid for us not diving! I had visions of our parents getting ransom notes... Eventually he managed to find another bouy! he hung around it for a few mins, then realised we wern´t going to get in, Juan shouted up to ...
Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico knotty... Chad could have staid longer but I was ready to go. The sun wore me out. The ride home was interesting. There were tons of loud and drunk young people on the bus. There was one local with his kid and he started playing La Bamba on his guitar while the kid sang. It was fun. Of course he wanted tips. We got back to the hotel and went to bed. Chad had to have a midnight sandwich before bed though.
Cancun, Mexico jaclynandchad... of a little nurishment after a swim we ordered some barbaqued potatoes for 30pesos (3 US$). All we got for this was one, yes ONE potato much the same size of a kinder egg. Ric********kinson you would have been appalled!! To compensate for our loses i thought it only right to tealeaf the toilet roll from the loos! A little detour took us to Havana, Cuba, I would love to be able to articulate what i saw and my experienced here to you, but i really am stuck for words. Havana is ...
