... the end and found a restaurant for dinner about 1.5 hours before the sunset. This was key as it gave us time to chill out and have a drink before dinner. Dinner, drinks and the sunset was great. The wind did pick up a bit towards the sunset, but otherwise a lovely evening. After dinner we caught a bus back to town. It dropped us near our accommodation. A short walk and we were home, in bed and ready for ...

... dozen marble columns lining the front gave us a really good idea of the scale of this ancient marketplace. We walked around the rest of the ruins with a new found appreciation for what it would have looked like in 400 BC or so.

Mission completed we all made it home merchandised up, for another restful night in our ...

... There are so many small streets leading down stairs, and so many lovely little shops! Not just touristy shops, but really nice jewellery and clothing boutiques. We made our way around to a (very much so!) ruined castle, where we had fantastic views in a few different directions. Here we also had a plenty of lols at a few American girls, one who professed to be the expert in taking Instagram photos of people, and directed her friends into ...

... only about 2000 residents!! -crazy).

The next 4 days we spent in santorini - catching up with Loz and Alex for a night of "Peter Yeeros" as Steph and I had bogan-ed them (Pita Gyros).

Santorini is a beautiful island - dramatic cliffs with a volcano "in the middle" (it used to be a full ring before some eruptions, possibly even once the lost city of Atlantis...but probably not). There are remnants of highly developed old civilisations in Akrotiri, dating back ...
