Up at 3:15 am this morning for a 4am pickup to the airport. Plane left at 7am for Montreal. After a 3 hour layover ( and a 3 hour time change) I was off to Athens. I had a $30 hamburger, fries and a glass of wine in Montreal and was glad to have it as the airline food was minimal and not too good. Beth had given me some over the counter sleeping …

We all gathered poolside at the restaurant for an amazing breakfast. Food, food and more food. The Greeks do not want you to go hungry. There was a variety of croissants and sweet rolls, sautéed veggies, yummy baked omlet and much, much more. We spent the morning in the pool and relaxing in the sun. Beth arranged an afternoon on a private …

One thing to be aware of in Venice - it is very easy to get lost! Alleyways and narrow canals at ever turn. Amazing, amazing place! Tourists jostling at every turn and hot and humid and very much like vibrant Rome with it's overwhelming beautiful historical ...

Lazy morning. Breakfast served on our patio with a sunny gorgeous day. We go explore off the beaten path in the village. I count the steps from our room to the street. 105!! Find the windmill, take lots of photos, climb lots of stairs. So quaint and pretty. It is time for us to make our way down to Aumondi Bay for lunch. We knew it was a strenuous walk down, but it must gave been 400 steps. The donkeys again not there, but glad not to have to avoid the poop. The ...

... and looking at the biggest church in the area, we started today's walk. We planned to walk through a couple of small towns before getting to the outside village of Oia and the beautiful sunset. The walk covered the hills of the island and was said to take between three and four hours. With both a drink and toilet stop we did it in three, giving us plenty of time to get dinner and see the sun fall off into the sea. The walk was beautiful. We walked up rock, ...
