    The new ultra fast MagLev train, the Chuo Shinkansen, will travel at 500 km/h. Partial operation will start by 2020, in time for the new Tokyo Olympics. By 2027, it will connect Tokyo to Nagoya, a distance of 342 Km. It would take less than an hour to travel that distance.
