The big open windows helped provide better scenery, which was nice going over bridges and through nature, but provided very little scenery of the actual mountain. The town of Elbe was nice and quaint. There is a local cathedral that has a pointy top, which is rare in Washington. It also has a restaurant in a railway car. ...

      What did we ever do without Google maps? It is so easy to find the trail access but we were expecting trailheads with parking areas and in this rural area there are only a couple of gravel pullouts. Once we figure that out we park the van and get ready to ride.

      On the road again, that has such a nice ring to it, we are off to try out our new bicycles, if you recall we had our bikes stolen last year on the way to Yosemite but are now re-outfitted and anxious to try them out on a long ride.
