Staff were friendly and very helpful. Paid 45.00 euro for a private room which was clean and spacious. A great breakfast was included and would recommend anyone to stay there, not sure about prices during peak season however. Great location as well

A truly inspiring experience..
We left from Athens at approximately 4pm to arrive at 'the end of the line' of Kalambaka at about 9.30pm. Kalambaka is a small town of only a few thousand, but Meteora only 2km from the town is what everyone has or should go and see!

Lots of relaxing, and some rain
To sum up my last few days in Thessaloniki: sleep, eating, a little stroll, more eating, more sleeping - it's been a tough life!! Lucky for me, my roommate was an Australian backpacker named Kellie. We made the best of the padded benches in one of the lounge areas and hunkered down with a few beers for the duration. Not the best night's sleep with the neon …
Rock climbing the Meteoran monasteries
I spent two days in Athens and then headed north to central Greece without a plan, hotel and only a small amount of toothpaste. I sat in a 6 passenger compartment with an American lady who offered to share her hotel and rental car with me to tour around the monasteries in Meteora (suspended in the sky). After getting to the hotel, we rented a car …

Seeing the sun greet this quaint port was another one of those moments. It was almost as if this was a private port and the ship was almost too big.
We opted to head to the Mercuri Winery and leisurely walk the city. Many people decided to take ship's tours of Olympia. There was a "hop on hop off" bus tour available. We jumped on that and made a complete circuit. Very pretty countryside and well maintained. We opted ...
