Day 31

A travel blog entry by owiedoeseurope

First a correction, just read back thru yesterdays entry, should read Bunratty Castle, whoops. Not much to talk about today as we will be on the bus most of the time. Got up early and went for a power walk, good idea as the head was a bit marginal. Down to brekkie and say goodbye to Paul and Anne who are heading off back to the States from Shannon airport. It is a really foggy day and it is unlikely to lift. Couple of things I missed from yesterdays blog. Do you ...

All part of the fun.Lots of other people there as well so the climb to the top was very slow. After all that stuff we went down again via an other stairwell, looked arounf the gardens a bit and departed the Blarney Castle. Walked around the township for a while, very touristy of course but good for the economy. went for a little drive ...

... her hospitality and cooking. The time then comes for the four of us to get into Geraldine's VW and we set off for the coast of County Down where we visit Paula and Nicky. The drive is uneventful as we make our way down the M1 motorway to Belfast. One we enter the greater Belfast area the traffic on the motorway looks the same as pretty much any Western major city. Belfast seems to be doing very well since the end of the "troubles". We even pass the large cranes of Harland ...
