... the ocean and Morganne really wanted to get in, so I agreed to go in with her. It was cold! I made it as far as my waist, but Morganne made it all the way in and under the water! The water is crystal clear - even at waist deep. We are hoping to rent wetsuits and snorkel gear tomorrow so that we can enjoy the water for real. We wandered down the beach about 200 metres to the entry to another valley where the remains of another Hellanic/Roman/Byzantine town - called Olympos (there are lots called this) are scattered. The city was never particularly large or important, but it is right on our doorstep - and now that it is in ruin, it is very romantic - both sides of a valley with a lovely river running through and various little tributaries threading their way past fallen pillars ...
