... us in Oz when it's been stamped. I wasn't in favour of going to Vathi municipal office to check everything - luckily Marky was on the ball!!! We would have got home and our papers might not have been legal!!! OMG only in Greece!! We did a bit of shopping then headed back to Frikes for lunch. We had some lovely Greek dips and 1/2 a litre of wine. Somehow Mark was able to drive the ...

Another glorious day in Kioni. After breakfast we headed to the Greek Orthodox Church for the 9am service. Marky wanted to see what it was like. There's lots of incense being fluffed around by the priest, with little bells tinkling! Lots of standing up, then sitting down- then up again. The Greeks don't do anything by halves. We had a lovely sleep in and then went for a delicious swim in the crystal clear sea. It's soooo turquoise blue! You can see to the bottom of the water it is so salty and clean! The weather has been amazing 26 degrees. We then wandered into the village and had a lovely coffee. We ordered a Greek salad and saganaki (fried haloumi). God we are just getting so fat! The Greek cheeses are delicious and the beers good too. However, their red wine ...

... purple hyacinth in the middle and white rose buds around it! It made me think of my mum and our connection with a love of purple flowers (violets) We headed off to Vathi , Marco took some pics on the way. At the town hall- we met the Mayor who was quite nervous about marrying us as we were his first international wedding! There was a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table and Marco and Andy stood either side of Mark and I. There was laughter and ...
