Only 30 minute trip from Copenhagen. Nice little place to spend the night. Did alot more than I expected. Saw the museum on H.C Anderson, which had his original manuscripts. ... for both adults & kids. Enjoyed the working Viking village with actors living in Ribe very much. Including a working Viking Blacksmith & potter. Its all done very well & not over priced. Reenactments of Viking skirmishes were very good & they really go for it! kids always love that bit. ... who live in Sdr. Felding. The Kristensen’s were wonderful and invited us to stay at their cottage in Skarrild only 10 min. away from them and close to Legoland. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to spend time with them and get to see how they go about daily life in Denmark. On the way to the cottage we stopped at the Madsby Lege Park in Frederica for a picnic lunch and some time at another amazing playground ...

... in the afternoon and met our Danish relatives for the evening. They brough us to tsee the big ships that were in the harbour - big wooden ships! Then we went to diner at an authentic danish restaurant where Luc and I had Svenborg Casserole (pork, bacon, and turkey in a paprika sauce) and roasted potattoes-- definitely one of the best meals we have ever had! Never felt so full in my life!<br><br>After diner we went to a cafe for drinks and desert! We headed home shortly after to pack!!

... a day in Bogense visiting their market, harbour, and shops. We really love all the small Danish towns. They are so welcoming and beautiful. We spent the day in Odense where Hans Christian Anderson grew up and went to his cultural house for children. ...to Denmark.<br>The original plan was to drive all the way to Copenhagen and stay on a campsite there. But since it rained and rained and rained, we decided to stop earlier and have a good rest before heading to Copenhagen and meeting up with Laurents &amp; Iris at the airport there. We were lucky and found a really nice campsite right at the beach with a view of the Storebaelt Bridge :-)<br>
