... kids were keen to stay in the beast. I think the idea of tripping around in a great big camper-van appealed so come on Jim and Nicki!! After our swim we were all starving. It was already past 8pm so its no wonder. We had a great meal of tapas including foie gras on toast which is geese or duck livers. Very rich and quite tasty. Banned in many countries of the world. When you read the history about the force feeding of the birds it is a little off putting but we ...

... and unpack with the luggage plus Caroline will be able to see out the back!

We drove back to Mermoz and hung out with the gang for a while. The weather began to cool off and it started to rain. We have really got to stop letting the weather forecast define what we do each day. Today our eyes told us that it was a fine day that would have been perfect for a bike ride to a beach somewhere but the forecast said rain after lunch so we decided to move on. We hit the road and headed south for Saint-Girons-Plage which was not far away and on the coast so we would be close to the beach again. We got to the campsite nice and early and parked the van as we had managed to find ...

... indelible 7.5 E -. So just ate the fries. I was sitting out on the footpath and could hear the lady who took my order yelling and I thought she was speaking to this other guy working there. This went on for ages before I turned around to discover she was yelling at me to find out what sauce I wanted. Pretty funny as you just tune out when you can't understand another language!

Early night for me and lights out by 9pm just as it got ...
