After the violent wind storm of Thursday evening Friday dawned a much cooler brighter day with temperatures of 25 degrees. So we chose to stay in Bayonne, slightly inland and still in France and use it as a base to do day trips ...

... little village in a very attractive spot. could have stayed there a lot longer but time is running out for us here in Europe, pretty soon we have to cross the channel again.
Our overnight stop yesterday was Loredo, a coastal town with lots of holiday units but once again not many people around. It almost looked deserted and am sure that it is feeling the pinch with the lack of money available. A liitle sad to see as it is a nice little spot ...
