... we had a walk around this very steep town then back into the car and down the hill again to an Auberge at the bottom in a town call Assous, it was truly delightful. Home again for a quiet afternoon while Laurie prepared himself to go fishing. We went down at 5.30 to catch the evening trout, apparently this is the best time! Ted, Annie and I watched on with a glass of wine, poor Laurie, no luck, so home for dinner and an early night before our trip to San ...

Awoke to the sun streaming through the van roof, Opps forgot to close the roof blind last night, still it was 10am n Andy had the kettle on. ... Found out the times the train leaves tomorrow for St Jean Pied du Port and checked in to my very small but nothing wrong with it room which cost 75 e about $90

Such a surreal feel as I walked around Bayonne - just one of the town names I had read about the last 8 months as I had read numerous blogs for my research on what to expect as I did the Camino. Now I am here.....such a cool feeling!
