... this week, so fingers crossed we will go skiing. Last Thursday we went to the local pub, nicknamed 'Blue Bar' purely because the outside light is blue- makes sense I guess. I walked up with hopes that quickly dissolved when I saw that there was only 4 people and the barmaid. We've left Lourmarin with some sorrow, but soon perked up when we got into the Alps. ... with the most magnificent view. I had a couple of glasses of Rose and the Salade de Alpes which consisted of the local cheese, walnuts and mixed lettuce leaves. Not really my thing, but was glad I got to taste the local cheese. We didn't realise but you could actually drive up there. There's a hotel up top and lots of walking:hiking tracks too! I would definitely have done at least one if I'd known. Amy and Jono would like to come back another time ...

... enough to have the freedom to admire the stunning views outside of Claudia's windows. After many winding miles, we finally arrived at Auris. Mr B's family friends had advised us to head for this town as it would be our best bet of getting to Alpe d'Huez via the chair lift that runs from here.
