Die letzten Tage war ich in Whangarei, ist ne ziemlich grosse Stadt und ich konnte hier entlich die raetzelhaften Warnlampen die mittlerweile in meinem Auto leuchteten, erforschen lassen. Mussten aber nur ein paar Birnen ausgewechselt werden und jetzt mache ich mich frisch ausgeruht auf den Weg zurueck nach Auckland und immer richtung Sueden.

... Die beesten vormen hier blijkbaar een plaag en het is dus ni verboden om die nachts met uw schietmachien uit de bomen te halen. We hebben er twee kunnen raken met de hulp van Ho. Met spijt in ons hart zijn we hier na een week moeten vertrekken omdat we uiteindelijk toch ook iets van Nieuw Zeeland moeten bekijken. We voelen ons in elk geval tip top na een weekske gezond eten en wat lichamelijke inspanning groter dan het heffen van een glas bier of het steken van een stuk pizza.

... Er zijn niet veel Kauri's meer over, vandaar dat men begonnen is met jonge aanplant. Veel jonge bomen dus in het kauribos, maar ook enkele enorm grote.
