... ever in the area (just to clarify, search for hotel Olimar and you'll find the market. The stall was called Fonda: Amayrany which is on the left hand side of the market square and they were the loveliest people ever!) We were relieved to leave Acapulco and recommend you not bothering to visit, there are so many more beautiful places, fewer crimes and cheaper than Acapulco. ... free! The city definitely feels run-down and old, compared to the glitz and glamour of Cancun. I actually felt a bit sorry for the residents here. Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. Other than those stupid things slowing us down we also got stopped a few times by the army who wanted to search our bikes for drugs etc. Its incredible that all the South and Central American country's can have police and army checks all set-up all over their country's but UK its all too expensive so the criminals are simply left to do as they please!!
