421 South Atlantic Ave. New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States, 32169, 386-423-8400
After our bike-ride we got on the road at around 11:30. It was another beautiful day, few clouds and around 85F. A few miles up the road we crossed small inlet with ferry. We continue on the A1A coastal road which follows the narrow peninsula's that dot big stretches of the Atlantic coast. They are so narrow that often you see the ocean on both sides. Naturally" the rich and ...
Daytona Beach, Florida, United States michellendaveHouston, we are go for launch. We launched our away 550 miles South down to Titusville, Florida for the Space Shuttle Atlantis launch with 6 crew inside. We would not call ourselves space enthusiast but this was totally awesome. Us and another 1000 or so people gathered on the shores of Titusville to watch the Shuttle launch, it will soon be before it is decomissioned and donated to schools for educational purposes. It was totally amazing watching ...

In the afternoon we went to Wekiwa Springs Nature Park, near Sanford, where we rented a canoe and we ventured into the jungle where we saw huge turtles, many birds, snakes and especially aligators. Half way we have fallen a tropical rain, filling the boat with water and soaked us. The adventure was worth it.

Back in Orlando, we stopped in Sanford to visit some old Spanish friends. Of course, we had a party, good seafood paella that we brought from Miami. After 7 hours of eating, drinking and talking, we've taken a break from the trip to visit the area.
... Not to mention our bartender was from Jamaica, and pretty entertaining all on his own.
We finally headed out of Georgia, around 2PM, and we we're headed for Florida. It wasn't to many miles from Savannah to Florida. We decided to drive all the way to Daytona Beach, more today less tomorrow was our motto. Which we will explore as soon as the sun comes up.
Till next time, in Florida!

My dad and I went through flight options a couple days ago and finally booked my flights to London. Yay! We tried to do it through the Delta website, but for whatever reason, the return flight in December was really messing with everything. They only had one flight option and it would have made the return trip 26 hours long. Talk about ridiculous. So instead, we went through expedia.com to book the flights ...

We decided to skip the children's exhibits and others were unfortunately closed with technical difficulties....they can send rockets to space and the moon but have the usual problems we all have with regular equipment! So we went to see and experience the Astronaut Hall of Fame. It was all very informative and interactive with Andy and ...
Mims, Florida, United States jodieandandyHi All, Sorry about my delay in updating the travelpod. A lot has happened since my last entry. DECEMBER -- We traveled North for the holidays. Bought our new truck (a GMC 1 ton diesel with dual rear wheels) that should be able to take us wherever the spirit leads us! The best part of this trip was being with family. A close second was being with friends at church Christmas Eve and Sunday. These experiences pointed up the downside to full ...
New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States junepaulk... we found a unsuspected paradise. As we approached it, we watched eight dolphins having a marvelous time playing in the surf off the shoals. When we anchored, two dolphins surfaced close to the boat and blew just like we see whales on TV. Once anchored, we kept the camera ready for dolphin pictures - no luck, but we watched two Bald Eagles fishing the shoal water about 200 feet away. To make the evening perfect, it was 81F (27C). While we have faced challenges ...
