... up with Michael with his life over beer we raced to the metro to catch our train and then our ferry home.
It was our last night with Maria and her family before heading on our tour to DC. We weren't finished with NYC, but were sad that we left after meeting a lovely family like Maria's and we had to say goodbye to them. That realisation hit us as we were passing Lady Liberty at sunset on our way to Staten Island. The next morning we were off on a two day tour to Philadelphia and Washington DC.

The Guggenheim is opposite Central Park, so we crossed over to that side, beautifully tree-lined, which was all the better for viewing the ditinguished houses on the other side of the avenue. I really enjoyed seeing the homes of the well-to-do, and took a few snaps. When it began to rain, we caught a bus to the Rockefeller Centre, and lunch at the French Bakery we visited on Thursday.
