      ... we were at in the event Adrien showed up. The other bar was actually really cool. It was like someone's living room decked out in chic retro/modern furnishings with plush creme colored area rugs and someone spinning on a turn table in the corner.       Since I went to be early last night, I was up early this morning to finish my preparations for the day. We were have our church service in the home of Jacqueline, a member who lives on the outskirts of Port Louis, and I needed directions to get there, so at 9:45 Mr. Prodigue dropped his wife to guide me to the right house while he drove on in their car.       ... speak! Blackie & he got on really well. Jean’s daughter Cassie said "my dad takes 15 minutes to say something that only takes 5." No wonder they got on so well!

      Lunch was BBQd marlin & chicken – yum. Wine, beer & rum were included in the price - & that was a couple of bottles of each for the table, not just 1 glass per person!

      ... would you rather have a semi-profitable sugar cane field? or a struggling loss-making shopping centre falling prey to the blatant over-supply of retail space on the island? – at the moment the jury is still out and only time will tell.

      I look forward to seeing the outcome of these developments on the island.
