... however nothing eventuated other than ten minutes of heavy rain. We were lucky! Sunday morning we packed up and drove the short distance to Wrightsville Beach which is connected by bridge to Wilmington. It is a four mile long beach Island which a beautiful sandy beach. Being the week-end, and school holidays, there were many people on the beach enjoying a beautiful day and the temperature had dropped to the mid 80's so was much more bearable with lower humidity. Wilmington is on the point where the Cape Fear river meets the coast, and at first glance it's everything we expected from a southern city. ... help you but a few times just me, so it's easier to hold the boat from the mid ship it's big and heavy! Bryan loves this boat and enjoys learning all the technology, charting, fuel tests etc. I'm his ears on the radio that's a challenge as the speaker is on the wrong side we will look at getting another one, I'm happy that I can help him fulfill this retirement dream :-)...we are a good boating team!
