Elephant Seals of Big Sur
... attracted, but we all got out and stuck our chewed gum on the wall. After this, the group continued along the highway, until we stopped off in Cambria to use the restrooms and get postcards, and then we stopped a bit further along to see a colony of elephant seals. They're really famous as there's a huge colony of them that live on a specifics section of the coast, and man are they disgusting. Cruising the coast - First stop Big Sur

Efter ca. 3 timers kørsel ramte vi igen Highway 1. Som første attraktion på vejen skulle vi se noget af Monterey området. Monterey Akvarium (stiftet af David Packard – grundlæggeren af HP) sprang vi over, idet vi allerede havde set 2 akvarier og samtidig skulle forvente at bruge mindst en ½ dag der, hvilket ikke var med i tidsplanen.

The Coast Highway
... grasses along its marshy shores billowing in the wind. Now we’re back on 101 heading north and the coast is just a few miles ahead, time to put my laptop down and enjoy the view.
