... the dirt path and bumped into a guy who said we could camp a bit further down the path from where he himself had set up. At first the dude seemed friendly, but once again turned out to be an absolute mentalist (only he did actually claim to have some mental issues and had been to see a shrink based on stories of being sexually abused as a kid). We could neither prove or disprove this but it did seem odd how much he was willing to share even though he claimed to never talk about ...

Got up the next day and decided to walk to the Waterfall trail from our campsite. Had been given conflicting information on where the trail began and how to access it. We walked along the road but it was very shady and the trees were immense. We walked into one campsite where there were the stumps of some of the redwoods that were huge.

... and then the dunes and beach, it was really informative .............. this afternoon weve sat by the pool.....................one thing i do miss is my cup of tea, wish id brought my travel kettle !
we leave here tomorrow to go down the 17 mile coast drive which is a toll road and apparently jaw dropping coastline to see and then the BIG SUR..............and on to San Simeon by the sea for three nights.................
