... State Park Campground about 40 miles shy of Monterey. We weren’t sure if backtracking from Monterey was a good idea so we stopped to visit our site on the way by. Giant redwoods rose up over a hundred feet towering over our site which backed up to the hillside across the lane from the river…..think we’ll be coming back.
