      Better in the sunshine

Tuk tuk from Galle took less than 30 mins. It was rovercast and had been raining, but after dropping bags off we headed down the beach. Very wavy and you couldnt swim. We walked up to main area and it was all a bit miserable. Between hotel and beacj was a kind of swamp and then as you got further up the strip the places were all on sandbags with a …

... so much Russian action here is a bit of mystery, when just along the coast Mirissa seems to attract travellers from right across Europe and only a scattering of Russians. One thing we definitely love about Hikki is the Sri Lankan food and what is, I reckon, some of the best curry on the planet. ... Kim and I then had a bit of dinner whilst Sri Lanka began their run chase. We ate a delicious Biryiani, as Lahiru Thirimanne's century meant that a Sri Lanka victory was never really in doubt. So much so, that we didn't even bother watching the closing overs, instead going for a stroll along the beach, contemplating what it will be like to return home after so long on the road, as the water lapped against our feet.

      Projects!

A travel blog entry by gos201 on Oct 11, 2013

... Wednesday followed along the same lines - a great session at HWH in the morning and another good time at NIMH in the afternoon! Patients were really responsive - some of them call me captain now which is funny. A lot of them have also been saying I look like Princess Diana....WHERE that's come from I have no idea!! Weird....haha

Trying to keep this brief since mum told me it takes her over half an hour to read my entries usually (sorry guys!!) but must tell you ...
