... to encoruage peopel to come down to the older part.Its a good city, the food is great, the people are really nice, and of course the weather is a dreamy tropical warm... thanks to the ever present breeze.

We ended the tour with lunch in the Centro Cultural (see the yellow door).

After we went to the artisan's market, we came back and I worked online at my classes, at sunset I went out to the beach to watch the surfers, and then the moonrise...then I met the Krickx and we went to the far end ot he Praias de Ponta Negro for dinner.

So one of our last stops in Brazil was Natal. What a wonderful place to round off our trip. We stayed with Marcelo's cousin Huiara and her grandmother in her new apartment close(ish) to the city. We are very grateful for their hospitality as the looked after us very well. One of the things Marcelo said he always wanted to do in Natal was dune buggies, so we got ourselves together and went for it. ... town where siesta is the word of the day. However, you could also tell how far forward Brazil's economy has come (it overtook the UK last week), as even this small town had many modern and high rise buildings. Definitely not what i expected.
