long wait for my 8pm flight, decided to venture into town and spend the last of
my reals at the central market and enjoy a couple of the sights.

It was tough to even find left luggage – the one sign
pointed right – it’s reverse side also pointed right (the ...

Luckily for us the hostel was not at full capacity so Jamily (young Brazilian girl who owns the hostel with her husband, Alex) let us have breakfast and check into our rooms early so we could have a nap. ... is often forgotten when the tribes gather for El Copa del Mundo. Seeing River Plate shirts walking side by side with Boca Juniors, the two solitudes from Madrid, their rivalry set aside and even on this day, this Whitecaps shirt with some retrobates from Seattle. These travelling rogues turned out to be Irish immigrants from County Kerry living in the Pacific Northwest these past 25 years. A quarter century of American life has failed to cull out the litanic use ...

... then started to tip it down so that our visits to the famous lakes with hammocks in the aqua water and white sand were not quite what we had in mind. Still a good day out and nice to see some of the area, we cut the trip short due to the weather and returned to town in time for the Germany USA game over lunch. Swim in the afternoon before we returned to our favourite fish restaurant this time opting for a red snapper. We thought lasts nights supper couldn't be ...
