For my second week at the farm, with more experience on a garden, I worked with Kirk on tomatoes and radishes. In fact, after showed me how to plant tomatoes, we worked on it Monday to Wednesday, but Thursday we worked all day on radishes because they were ready to collects. Since we’re within a day or two of leaving, I loaded the boat. By Monday afternoon the engine was back on the engine davits and we were spending out first night on board. Returned home on Tuesday morning to get the frozen foods and close down the house. Had a light lunch at SYC and by 1PM we were on the water, again. Weather was fine. Great day to be going somewhere (March 8th).

... be out with Surfina riding waves than being ear bashed about the driving. Oh dear, the stress of driving on the American roads is deadly for a pleasant holiday. Papa Bear is understandably stressed with all the decisions to make, especially when behind the wheel. Papa Bear is out of his comfort zone big time! Can't say Mama Bear is as cool as a cucumber either; we've had plenty of hair-raising moments to last a life time. You won't recognise us on return - grey haired bears.
