We spent 2 days touring the center, you get to see the launch pads (from a distance), pieces of the international space station being built and prepared for their journey into space and lots of history and information on sapce flight. They also have lots of old rockets and a Shuttle that you can climb on and check out. We walked on the run way that Neil Armstong walked on and met a real Astronaut, cool! His name was Bob Springer. A few pictures from today's activities, tomorrow, we move away from the coast as we start the trip back to Atlanta and the end of the journey for this year, but for just one more night we will go to sleep to the sound of the Ocean.

In the afternoon we went to Wekiwa Springs Nature Park, near Sanford, where we rented a canoe and we ventured into the jungle where we saw huge turtles, many birds, snakes and especially aligators. Half way we have fallen a tropical rain, filling the boat with water and soaked us. The adventure was worth it.

We finally headed out of Georgia, around 2PM, and we we're headed for Florida. It wasn't to many miles from Savannah to Florida. We decided to drive all the way to Daytona Beach, more today less tomorrow was our motto. Which we will explore as soon as the sun comes up.

My dad and I went through flight options a couple days ago and finally booked my flights to London. Yay! We tried to do it through the Delta website, but for whatever reason, the return flight in December was really messing with everything. They only had one flight option and it would have made the return trip 26 hours long. Talk about ridiculous. So instead, we went through expedia.com to book the flights ...

... tournaments and manatee warning signs. From here we will be heading down the Intracoastal to Cape Canaveral and then another overnight, hopefully to West Palm Beach. ... we found a unsuspected paradise. As we approached it, we watched eight dolphins having a marvelous time playing in the surf off the shoals. When we anchored, two dolphins surfaced close to the boat and blew just like we see whales on TV. Once anchored, we kept the camera ready for dolphin pictures - no luck, but we watched two Bald Eagles fishing the shoal water about 200 feet away. To make the evening perfect, it was 81F (27C).
