    Hi everyone,
Just got back from the first of three training cruises to the Gulf Islands and I gotta say it was a lot of fun.I might have even learned something! The plan was to take three boats over to Poets Cove for the night and then onto Cabbage Island marine park for Day 2.Friday morning started out cloudy and cool with a bit of rain but we hardly noticed as there was a lot to do before leaving the dock.

Next we took a short drive around Stanley Park. The park offers great views of Vancouver, totem poles, a rugby field (Brett somehow found), and the Brockton Point Lighthouse. That evening we ventured down to the trendy ...

Looking forward to today-we had planned to visit Butchart Gardens on our way to the ferry. Day dawned fine but the seafog came in again so colour of the flowers was dimmed a little in the photos but it is an amazing tourist spot. We got there before all the tour buses but it was still pretty crowded. If you love flowers, or gardening, this is the pinnacle. We have seen some amazing gardens in the UK but this takes the ...
