... could have a site for $10, if they did not use any of the facilities of the park. So this was basically like spending a night in a rest area, or on the road, but with a bit more security. This seemed a good way to trial how well we would cope in these situations, so we rang and booked a site. There was a 2 night maximum.

... We walked back along the river inlet and in the way found some shops and cafes which you wouldn't know existed from the main road. We stopped for a drink looking over the river and then it poured with rain. It had passed by the time we left and the last port of call for the day was the botanical gardens - sadly it shut 20 minutes after we got there. Roads are much rougher in New South Wales than in Queensland. Also forgot to write this earlier, but THERE ARE WAY MORE PEOPLE WITH MAJOR AND MINOR TATOOS IN AUSTRALIA THAN I HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE.

... I loved the bubba dolphin. Then we saw a few more dolphins playing. They were warming up for the show.

Then there were two turtles swimming around. Unfortunately we could not pat these ones like we did in Hervey Bay, but that was OK. They were having fun swimming around.

... we all split up and i went and walked along the beach then the jetty, was beautiful view and i saw another sting ray jump out the water!. On the jetty i watched two girls jump off the edge, must of been about 20ft. pretty good to watch. I then headed back down to the jetty to see someone waving at me and group of people walking towards me, the girls hadf got there beach gear and headed down to jump off the jetty, so deiced i had enough time to watch them. ...
