The next day we went to the Santa Barbara Mission in the morning, mainly because we have heard of so many throughout California and there are streets named after them but we didn’t really know what it was all about, so we went for a bit of a history lesson. It was a beautiful building, very picturesque and we learnt a thing or two about the missions.

Back to finish off laundry marathon and a two hour swim in the pool for James and Ruth.
We were sick of the car and so walked out from the hotel to find food. Also needed CROCS for Ruth as she had now got a 10p size hole in her CROCS and had been finding the pavaments a bit warm underfoot. Found the San Fran CROC emporium and got funky new CROCS all round.

I opened the teens for Gertrude* this morning until I was off at 11am. Nobody showed up the first hour and a half so I cranked music on the jukebox and had my own private American Idol contest until some teens showed up and entertained me with Just Dance on the Wii. I worked again from 1-5pm, leading our Winnie the Whale activity for Pelicans and Shockwaves since Clora* and Sarah* ...
