          ... mangroves and within about 10 minutes we spotted our first Manatee! I was so excited!! Apparently manatees can hear women's voices (typically a higher pitch) but not men's voices so I was encouraged to chat away to get the Manatees to stay near our boat. I was very impressed with our Manatee tour guide. He just parked the boat and didn't follow any manatees, the ones we saw all popped up near us.
