Neither of us had had grits before and they were filled with cheesy goodness. Seriously an amazing breakfast but omg so filling. We did not eat lunch that day. We wanted to find another place to hike and maybe camo so we drove up to Jones Lakes State Park. It was pretty much deserted and once again felt a little sketchy. We did get in a quick ...

... br> While today's trip, in less-than-optimal conditions, got us past the Cape Fear and into a safe harbor --- well protected, good amenities, good friends to hang with --- it is infinitely easier than having to do it in sub-freezing temperatures and deadly chill factors that the next few days will certainly bring.
