... instead of in restaurants. Our conversation made me hungry for the fruits of the sea. Art and I had spotted a restaurant with a sign out front advertising All You Can Eat crab so we stopped there to check it out. At $66 per meal, we swiftly made out exit. We were under the impression that since we are so near the spot where much of the seafood is harvested that it would be reasonable. Not so. King crab legs even run ...

Incredible view!

... hostess warm, we cooked our dinner in the large kitchen, enjoyed the view at the living room. Before bed, we took a drive to the spit. A lot of cars on the street, but few people on the street. I heard from somewhere (I forgot) that these people who drove cars there were on boats. It's 11 p.m. but sun still shone on us. My body couldn't adjust to it. So I felt dizzy.<br>

Well i have arrived here in Alaska and i must say that i am pretty much ready to leave now and get back to my real life. IM was pretty sad to see me go. That sucked but ...

... bedroom condo - three floors, on the edge of the bay with windows everywhere looking out over the water - across from the snow covered mountains. The view is quite spectacular. We noticed a sea otter casually doing the back stroke down the shoreline. It was time to take off for dinner and an animal watch excusion. Sam and Ron spotted a bald eagle along the side of the road, about 20 feet or so. It was perched on a ...

... end of the tunnel has made its first appearance and although it is weak and barely visible it is still there all the same. This summer has gone by so fast it's not even funny. I'm not sure if it's because of my drama with dumb ass (ex gf) or if it's ninny calling me every night after work and lifting my spirits...or maybe I'm just used to this ****....who knows? Either way this summer is flying by and I can't wait to get off the ...

... to be after the same thing to ask for advice. It turned out that the two elderly couples were on holiday  from N Carolina and had never clammed before either but they seemed to have figured out how to do it and soon set us right, until that is (as I stood there with a clam in my hand) one of them asked us if we had a fishing licence. Gathering from our blank faces that we didn't he looked deeply concerned and said that I had better put that clam down straight away ...

thank god for a new cast of characters

The world has settled into predictable patterns of work and sleep that have deadened my mind and soul. oh i cry upon thee oh lord, release me from my bonds of indentured servitude and deliver me to the promise land where i shall feast upon fruit and honey and of course small Thai girls. oh hear my cries lord and lead me the hell out of the frozen waste lands....Amen. having said all that, how the hell are you? i hope everyone has enjoyed there summer of great ...

... be staying for one night then on our way north again. We did the tourist souvenir thing this afternoon and went for a scenic drive this evening before eating out on the Spit. We had fish and chips (which was fried halibut chunks and fries) and fresh clam chowder. You know the clam chowder didn't taste anything like the canned chowder. The chowder today WAS MUCH BETTER.
