    Big day today..we got a bit of a sleep in before heading out in the bus at 0900hrs heading for Blarney...The roads are really narrow and we had Alistair back behind the wheel so it was slow and steady as you have to stop and let cars past on some of the roads.. We got to Blarney Castle around 1030 and we had until 1300 to check it out and have lunch..they also had the biggest shop ever and such beautiful jumpers etc..     ... being blown and stems added. All pieces are checked by eye, any not perfect are ground down and go back into the furnace. One man was marking a grid pattern on the pieces, then it was on to the cutters – absolutely amazing that such intricate work is done by eye/hand, it’s really beautiful to see.
