... and lots of plazas. After an early arrival in the town we checked in to our hotel, picked up some breakfast and then headed off to the Maya ruins of Uxmal. We arrived at Uxmal just after 1pm, and boy was it hot....but at least it meant that we almost had the place to ourselves. So we went to the Central Park and they had bands playing, lots of street vendors, markets, and of course massive amounts of riot police. ... a tour to Isla Mujeres at the little tourist kiosks inside the mall (these are everywhere - I passed four on the short walk from the hotel). The guy who did most of the talking was called Ramon who dropped the price from $70 to $30 on the basis that I visit one of their beautiful hotels. I asked him if this was by any chance involved me attending a time share presentation. Ramon assured me he hated time share. All his colleagues hated time share (the other two guys at the kiosk ...

        Sunday morning ministry

A travel blog entry by princesspanky on Mar 23, 2014

We met outside the Kingdom Hall for the ministry group because one congregation was having their meeting and another was using the second school for their service group. We joined another couple to do return visits on English speaking people we had found. Mike took a Mexican brother on the older man we called on the other week who liked the Bible's definition of love. He invited them in and he was able to speak Spanish if he chose to this time. He accepted ...
