... laughter by the doorman. "This is Mauritius islands man, no dress code" he said with a smile. Sweet. I play the pokies. Lost all of $2. We head back to meet a snorkelling appointment, which was ok but the seas were a little rough and we didn't see many fish. Ended up talking to a yank who is moving to WA and the same suburb as my sister. Small world. Now it's afternoon beer time before we decide what we want to do for ...

Reunion is a fairly young island, which means the hills and mountains are very steep. It is also volcanic which means the relief is all hardened, nearly impervious lava rock, which means water doesn’t soak in well, ...

... to take home. After passing a few cool places like Gris Gris and Soulliac we started to head north and our next and final stop was Rochester Falls. It was an interesting drive taking us right out through the sugar cane fields on tiny bumpy roads. We got there in the end and there are two brothers that have organised the place, keep it clean and show the visitors around. We went down to see the waterfall and its very picturesque! A waterfall about ...
